MEET THE PRIDE

ADAM LEVINE
When he’s not off touring the world with Maroon 5 or judging contestants on The Voice, Adam is a tenor in Uproar, a software engineer, and an arranger/songwriter. During his time in VoiceMale at Brandeis University, he wrote an original song, "Phoenix," which received multiple CARAs and compilation album placements. Adam believes that if he tries hard enough, he can one day be a bass like Tyler. He hasn't made any progress so far, but goes on trying nonetheless.

JAMES CANNON
Hailing from the south side of Chicago, James is a singer, music producer, bacon cheeseburger lover and deep dish pizza aficionado. He spends his days basically trying to be Young Metro, and when he isn't off making tracks somewhere, he finds time to sing bass....tenor....bari....whatever the group needs for whatever song they happen to be singing at the time. If you're ever in the mood to talk music production, or nerd out about the food network for hours on end, then you've found your guy.

ANTHONY PULIDO
Anthony brings the Latin Passion fashioned from his South American fam and South Floridian roots. A Northeastern University alumnus, Anthony previously sang with and arranged for the Unisons. He has since taken his talents from South Beach to join us, share his musical style, and perplex each of us with the strange sounds he makes. Hit him up if you’re ever interested in workshops, arrangements, or a food adventure!

TRISTAN SMITH
Forged by an old blacksmith in Queens with the melted remains of vinyl B-sides found in the back alley behind a dilapidated jazz club, Tristan is exactly what his creator expected to happen. He is currently the music director and producer of the the Unisons from Northeastern University. As the baby/baritone ("babytone") of Uproar, he feeds off of attention. The group tries its best not to enable him and his Disney parodies but does unleash him occasionally on crowds, much to their delight. He's always glad to talk songwriting/production and collaborate with people so feel free to reach out.

TYLER GRAVELLE
Tyler's favorite thing to say, ever since the womb, has always been "Dm." Not "Dim", "Dum," or "Doom," but "Dm". Naturally he has since found his place in the a cappella world—and among this pride—as a bass. His only question is this: if the members of Uproar were to be labeled as characters from The Lion King, who would Tyler be?

JON LAVALLEY
Jon drops fat, ripe beats and sings tenor 2 for Uproar. He is a graphic designer by day and serves as the group's art director. Jon frequently sings in the shower, enjoys a cold beer with pals, listens to crunchy jams, replaces beats with fart sounds, and loves to toss a frisbee in the summer time. He also sings with Boston-based CAL group, Sound Off and is an alumnus of the Brick City Singers from Rochester Institute of Technology. One day, Jon hopes to raise his power lever over 9000. If you have any creative ideas you'd like to share/talk about, look no further.

COLE LUNDQUIST
Cole is the self-designated old man of the group. When asked to write a bio for this website, Cole's first response was "What's a website?" When he's not spending time thinking about how selfies steal souls, e-mail is the devil's work, and Snapchat is forever, Cole teaches high-school piano, voice, guitar, and music theory and serves as co-musical director for Uproar.

DAN PENZA
After an early retirement from his college group (Northeastern Unisons) in 2016, Dan thought his a cappella days were behind him. So it was with great enthusiasm he jumped at the chance to join Uproar in 2018 as their resident Tenor 1. Originally from sunny Uxbridge, MA, Dan currently resides in Newton and spends a lot of (read: too much) time studying the Red Sox farm system. He’s humbled to be part of a group with such impressive musical talent and is often just happy to be here!
